Everything I’ve written has been speculative fiction in some form or another. This story is my attempt to do something different. It’s only a one-pager right now, and will remain so until I find the motivation to make something more of it. The text fits on a single page of a Word/OpenOffice.org text document, in a format I learned in my Interactive Storytelling I class.
I have been playing a lot of this game recently. It’s the hardest retail video game I have ever played. It’s wild. It doesn’t even pretend to be grounded in reality.
I was responsible for the initial narrative design of KON, the video game my class at The Art Institute of Vancouver produced. I had to communicate with the game designers to determine what they could do in the Unity engine that I described in the narrative design document and what I had to change to accommodate changes in scope and engine restrictions.
